A Well Organized Client Database Could

I was chatting with a Financial Planner and I asked him how he was storing and organizing his client list. He told me he was using Excel. Your client list is the most important asset you have. If you can develop an efficient database to store your client information your marketing opportunities will be endless. If you don't have a client database you're probably losing thousands of dollars in sales.

If you’re using Excel or Outlook to organize your client list, I’d like to let you know that there’s a more efficient and easier way to store your client list. It’s called, contact management software: Goldmine, Maximizer and my personal favourite ACT.

Using these programs is like having a personal assistant. They allow you to do the work of 1-2 people in half the time.

When you get a proper client database you can begin to communicate more  effectively with your clients and be more productive. An efficient client database will help you develop closer relationships with your clients and prospects. 

The bottom-line is, you will increase your repeat sales and get more referrals.

 Just For Laughs

A SALES rep, an administration clerk and their manager are walking to
lunch when they find an antique oil lamp.

They rub it and a genie comes out in a puff of smoke. The Genie says, "I usually only
grant three wishes, so I'll give each of you just one."

"Me first! Me first!" says the admin clerk. "I want to be in the Bahamas, driving a
speedboat, without a care in the world." Poof! She's gone.

In astonishment, "Me next! Me next!" says the sales rep. "I want to be in Hawaii,
relaxing on the beach with my personal masseuse, an endless supply of Pina Coladas and
the love of my life." Poof! He's gone.

"OK, you're up," the Genie says to the manager. The manager says, "I want those two
back in the office after lunch."

Moral of story: always let your boss have the first say.
